I'm very surprised - I got my wisdoms out the other day and I feel like I've made a full recovery already! Seriously, I remember the last time I did it, it hurt for such a long time. I think its because I went to a more professional doctor this time. He was very kind and considerate - making sure I was 110% comfortable. While the other one was very messy; maybe its because they were student dentists. I also remember my dear skinny anorexic friend making fun of my chubby cheeks. Quoting, 'Now we don't have to listen to you talk'. You know who you are ... Anyway, I feel all better now, though I still cant really eat solids; my mouth cant open that wide yet. D= Alberto came over today too. We watched The Forbidden Kingdom and National Treasure: Book of Secrets. I discovered that The Forbidden Kingdom is very cheesy/confusing and Jet Li is HORRIBLE with the english language. National Treasure was very interesting. It took my love for history to a whole new level. That, and I want to go treasure hunting myself; just for the fun of it.

Finals

Part of my VFX final (I'll post my magazine layout design later). We used the green-screen room, which was awesome. I was getting tired of working with photoshop in my VFX class. I had hoped we would of done some composting or matte painting, but we didn't. Bummer. We just spent a lot of time in photoshop; which I already know! So when this opportunity came, I grabbed it by the reins. It was very fun. I got to experience what it really felt like to be on a real-live set. It makes me want to switch over to the MPT major even more. UGGGHHH I'm so confused!! Tell me what to do God! Life is so annoying ..

New Best Friend

Ugh!! Its sooo hot! The last time it was 97 degrees in San Francisco was in 1970. I even made best friends with an ice pack. Come back fog!! We San Franciscians love you!!

The Host

I finished reading THE HOST by Stephanie Meyer last week and I must express how in love I am with it. I'm particulary in love with the character Wanderer (or Wanda, but I don't like that nickname). Its hard to believe but I think I love Wanderer more than Edward. Hahah I know, quite the shocker. But I love them both; its just a different kind of love. For wanderer, shes the essence of good. Shes gentle, caring, selfless, and sacrificial. She never thinks highly of herself and place others well ahead of herself. Its was very touching to read how much she has grown through the book. I felt that even though she is physically the weakest of the bunch and portrays herself as a useless being, she is by far the strongest character there. Its not lifting boulders or stopping cars with bare hands (hint hint*) but she expresses that strength differently: through the choices she makes and her thoughts. And because of this aspect, I feel that she's too independent to be hold down by an man (or partner as how she puts it). I've read through forums and discussion topics about The Host, and isn't quite surprise to see the flaming wars between Jared and Ian fans. Personally, I think Wanderer is much better off without either of them. Jared is just very .. mean (?), but not really, he just has a lot of tangled webs in him. He's a very complicated character, and is torn between two things, but still very biased. Ian, on the other hand, I find a bit annoying. He is a pesky little fly that follows you everywhere. And as much as I love his good intentions and good nature, he needs to back off a bit. Wanderer should just dump the two and go for little Jamie (adorable!! <3). Another topic I would also like to talk about is the ending of The Host. I love the ending, it was very rewarding; that happily ever after tale. But I also feel that if the story ended with Wanderer's death, it would of been THE tragedy of the year. It would of been a tear jerker. I was on the verge of a breakdown when I read through Wanderer's final decision. It was devastating and I couldn't continue; I had to take a breather and clear my head for a while. But anyway, The Host is a great book and highly recommended. Its a far cry from Twilight if you're worried about that; though I don't really like how SMeyer plot the settings at the beginning; it was very confusing for the first portion. But on the positive side, she has improved on her writing tremendiously. Bravo SMeyer!!

Tragedy

Pray for Natural Disaster Victims in China.

HANWANG, China - Soldiers rushed to shore up a dam cracked by this week's powerful earthquake, and rescuers came by helicopter and ship Wednesday into the isolated epicenter but still were forced to dig for survivors with their bare hands. Nearly 26,000 people remained buried in collapsed buildings from Monday's magnitude 7.9 earthquake, and the death toll of almost 15,000 was expected to climb as relief operations spread into the mountains of Sichuan province. The quake triggered landslides that blocked roads to hardest-hit areas.

Its very sad when tragedies strike.

Annoyed

Ugh .. Some people are just so irritating. [I need to ventilate a bit.] I cant stand it. All this drama has lead to a point where its just plain stupid and down right childish for that matter. Very immature; acting like little high schoolers - being very caddy and avoiding the problem all together. I really don't know what to say anymore. If this keeps up, I'd much rather not have those people in my life, at all. It's annoying.

Awkward

What a lazy day. I had make-up class today; which sucked, a whole lot. I can't remember the last time I woke up this early on a saturday. The streets were so empty and kind of eerie. Anyway, class was unproductive as Tiff and I just browsed the world wide web of nothing! Seriously, it was so boring. After class, we took a shopping trip around downtown. She forced me to purchase something; which was pretty hard for me. Spending just isn't one of those things I like to do. I'm a cheap chinese person. Later, Trina joined us (After much missed calls)! We had Naan and Curry (I'm becoming addicted)!! We ventured to 'our DT spot' and the most hilarious thing happened. Some random guy came up to us (well to Tiff) and just started talking to us (Actually, Trina just sat there and totally ignored him). I personally thought that he was hitting on Tiff as he only shook her hand and called her cute looking. He went on about small talk; which was AWKWARD!! Finally he blurted out that he was just trying to look for the little boys room and didn't want to ask it at first because he thought it was too tourist-y. It was so funny, I swear!! I speculated that he was actually really trying to hit on my girlfriend, Tiffu, but fail miserably thus resorting to the old-school 'I-was-looking-for-the-bathroom-speech' to save face. Seriously, he should of know that my Tiffu had a significant other in her life (ME!! >XD)!! I give him props though, most guys don't put moves on girls like that anymore, it must of been embarrassing. What a day ..
