Jessica the Hippo. The Gentle Giant.
[Jessica's Story]

During the 2000 Mozambique floods, a 26-pound baby hippo was washed up on a private lawn bordering the Blude River in South Africa's Limpopo province. A retired game warden, Tonie Joubert, found her and named her Jessica. As a calf, Jessica would sleep with the Jouberts on their double bed. Today, the nearly 1-ton, 7-year-old hippo sleeps on a mattress on the veranda, usually with a blanket to keep her warm and a curled-up dog for company.

I always love these kinds of story. Its inspiring and touching as I have been & always will be an animal lover. It jerks me heart to see thing miraculous things happening around the world. But its not all unicorns and rainbows, I've seen/heard/read many animal abuse as well. It angers me & push my inner secret desire to go out there and do something (Like animal precinct). Rambling complete.
